Clyde River Golf & Country Club is a premier public 27 hole golf club, designed by its current owner, the original 9 holes was built on land that has been in his family since 1796, a proud life long resident of the community of Clyde River. Much of the clubs early success can be attributed to the famous local program CBC Compass who did a feature on it, the reporter aptly refereed to it being as the owners, Field of Dreams, as he grew up on this land, he wanted the course to be sustainable long term while leaving a lasting legacy for his family, keeping it affordable and top quality. These values enabled him to expand to 18 holes and later to 27 holes. The course is conveniently located on the former historic gateway road to the south shore region, on route 247, now a favourite road for tour buses, just 20 minutes east of the Confederation Bridge.

The golf course is arguably the prettiest course on the island, crafted methodically to take advantage of the natural terrain, with outstanding water views on most holes that will leave you speechless. Combining a traditional parkland design along with a Links design. Look for the bald eagles and osprey diving at the Island green ,400 year old Hemlock trees, and soak in the agricultural background that surrounds the course from all directions. And so much more!
